Trouble with G.K head unit going dead onstage

Have you tried bypassing the effects loop? If you did a search for GK and issues, that comes up a few times. Also you local amp tech could probably tell you whats wrong with it as it's a bit hard to troubleshoot your amp over a forum.

Yea had switched back to running bass directly through Input jack in the front left hand corner of the amp, as i was not using pedal set onstage as my guitarists were bludgeing of my effects pedal leads (bloody 15 year olds! ). Could well have been problem. Also effects leads brand new, so wouldn't have any problems that i know off.

In music store under repair anyhow, should take three weeks, which kinda sucks, but be good to have it up and running again.

I know this may sound wrong, but sometimes we all take too much for granted with our explanations.......LTD, here's the deal, I don't believe you are understanding what the guys are saying about the patch. I had this EXACT problem and this fixed it........ take one instrument cable.....stick one end of it into SEND hole on back of amp....take other end of same cable.......stick it into the RETURN hole on back of amp. Worked like a charm for me. I haven't even tried to fix the internal plug. I just leave that small cable in those two holes......Bud

Cheers for explaining this whole ''patch'' thing in layman's terms. I haven't got much of a brain for electronic terminology .

Well worth a try. Performed twice (both times without multi-fx pedal) and the first time had a slight problem with sound cutting out for about a second. Second time as I explained above, no noise in the third song of my set.

Thank you
