Trouble with my ABM 1000

I Just bought my Ashdown ABM 1000 in March, and the drive control is not working properly. Plays clean, but when I turn the knob over to grind, there's no signal, even though it registers on the VU meter. Am I doing something wrong, or is it time for a trip to the shop?

Dud valve or valve fallen out.

Yep, replace the -most likely - 12AX7 with a good one & see what happens.. Waranty still??? Could go that route, but far quicker & simpler to do a tube swap 1st

I agree.

Valves can get damaged in transit, it's definitely not unheard of. Should be a pretty quick and simple fix. If not, hit up that warranty.

i also bought this head for about a month and I find it great as both sound like power... with the abm 500 had volume issues but now I'm fine!
The head has only a problem when I turn on/turn off you will hear a "bump" on the speakers, it also makes your own?
