I've recently decided at the age of 15 to start getting involved with advanced electric stuff at school so i could get a job repairing amps and guitars. But right now im still a beginner to this all so I ask for your help.

One of these days im planning on using those schematics to practice making a cheap and simple bass amp.
I figured that the Squiggle lines represent the resistors and that the Double I's represent the capacitators.
1. but does the plus and minus sign represent a transformer (or a power source)?
2. and do the 3 horizontal lines stacked on each other represent breakers?
3. And do the numbers above the ?resistors? represent kilo-ohms?
Any answers to any of my questions would be greatly appreciated.
