Trying to replace the pickups in my P/J bass

Hey Everyone, I'm replacing the pickups in my Squier P/J bass. I bought Seymour duncan 57 Antiquity and a 75 fender jazz re-issue. Having a problem. I'm a novice at this but I have done it before. Soldered everything the way it was with the old pickups and even followed the wiring diagrahm provided by seymour duncans site. Problem is when I turn the Jazz volume pot up all the way it seems to kill the P pickups volume. Not shut them off totally. If I roll the Jazz volume mid way, the P Pickup become louder. And both pickups are on at that point. Individually, they both work by them selves. Its just when I try and turn the Jazz volume all the way up with the P bass volume up. it seems to kill the P bass volume dramtiacally. Any Ideas? I even replaced the pot on the Jazz and P pickups

Sounds like you've wired the pups "out of phase" with each other. Flip the connections (switch the hot to ground and ground to hot) on either one of the pickups and it should cure the problem.
