tube replacement help needed demeter vtbp-m-800d

hi... i am in the process of trying to change my preamp tube. i incorrectly assumed both tubes were 12ax7s, and pulled them out. i now realize that one is a 12ax7 and one is a 12at7 (for the fx loop? the direct out?). anyway, can someone please tell me which side gets the X and which gets the T? there is no label or schematic that i can find.

I'm hardly the tube guru, but let me ask: Are the socket ends (and then the chassis input sockets they plug into) the same? Maybe you got lucky and they are different and you CAN'T plug one into the other.

I depend on this sort of thing to help idiot-proof myself, a full-time, 24/7 job . . . . . .

Or call them at (805)461-4100 Monday AM, Pacific.
