Tune bass guitar electronics

Hi, does anyone know where I can buy a replacement circuit board for a Tune bass? I'm after a TB05B board. On my bass only one pickup is working. The pickups measure a resistance of 9k and 6k ohm respectively - so I think they are ok, but I can't find anyone who has replacement circuit boards. Please help?

I don't say this disparagingly, but have you tried contacting Tune? They have the wiring diagram for the TB05B on their site and I imagine they'd be willing to sell you a preamp.

Here's a thread from TB in 2008 where someone had the exact same issue with the exact same preamp, it may be useful for troubleshooting: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/replacement-electronics-advice-for-80s-tune-bass-maniac.1353142/

If you want to get really crazy, maybe one of these guys will build you one: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/replacement-electronics-advice-for-80s-tune-bass-maniac.1353142/

Best of luck!

I believe both factorys have shut down
Not so.

Tune Guitar Maniac over in Japan are still trading though note the different name. 'Guitar Maniac' are a small luthier shop building guitars/basses under 3 brand names. They're quite precious regards the 'Guitar Maniac' logo and will have nothing to do with anything labelled 'Guitar Technology'.

Tune Guitar Technology in Korea are also still going. Parent company WSC Music keep them afloat for nostalgia reasons as it was the Tune contract which was the making of the company. Trouble is WSC Music are 'trade only' , enquires under $2k go straight to junk mail.

You have 2 options open to you. Replace the Blend pot or replace the EQ. I had the Vol pot replaced in my mid 80's fretless Tune, while with my early 90's Maniac I just replaced the PCB for a Tone Monster EQ.

If you go looking a replacement EQ here's some figures to keep in mind.

Bass is +16dB/-6dB at 90Hz
Treble is +18dB/-6dB at 5.5kHz
