Twangy metallic A String...

Hope this is in the right place,as some of you may know i bought an Ibanez Soundgear SR 300 EB,i am happy overall with it except i have a small problem with the A String,It's making a Twangy,Metallic type noise which only happens when i fret the string on the No 1 Tab or would that be the B chord, anyway i've tried retuning but it hasn't helped, all the other strings and frets are OK ,?Does anyone have any suggestions.

I am no expert. Having said that, the neck relief needs to be adjusted to your taste, the string height and radius to match fret board, the intonation. Lots of web resources for these basic adjustments. If after satisfactory adjustments are made and you are happy with the action/results, should you look further. When one or more frets are higher or lower from the other when you fret a note, this will cause a shrill flat sound. This can be fixed by having the frets re seated and/or leveled and crowned. Since the strings are pushed down on the frets they must be relatively level. Like i said, no expert so use the web resources and you will find a better explanation than i can give. Good luck.:)
