Twiggy Ramirez on Antichrist Superstar

Has anyone else listened to "Antichrist Superstar" by Marilyn Manson? Especially on "The Beautiful People"
I'm looking for opinions on the tone… IMO it may be the poopiest tone I've ever heard- like it was recorded through a solid state fuzzy guitar amp, just makes me shudder. Idk, though- maybe some of ya TB'ers kinda dig it?

The album came out back when I was in high school and my band at the time spent a lot of time covering several songs off of it. I was able to achieve the sound pretty close with out any pedals at all.

I find my MIM cowpoke will break up quite nicely just by using a pick, playing toward the bridge, and digging in a little hard. I can get the sound they used on "tourniquet" almost exact.
