Hi,

I kave problems to play this song.
On one side, the two sixteenth notes in the verse, and on another side, the part with three sixteenth notes, galloping.
The speed is not a problem with the two, but putting them in the time correctly.
With the three, I have problems with the speed. I've seen videos and some bassists play it with three fingers, others with two.
I would like to play it with two fingers, but it is too fast for me.
My doubts: best to do it alternating fingers in right hand? 1-2-1, 2-1-2?
And is it just a matter of practicing it from less to more speed?

It looks like there are videos of them performing the song live on YouTube, watching how the bassist approaches it live is often helpful.

Personally I really don't try to adapt entirely new techniques for a single song, the work to get three finger technique down well enough to handle a line like this is going to take far more work than learning the line itself with a technique you already have in the bag.

Giving it a quick listen, I find those triplets feel more comfortable going 1-2 and then flicking through with an upstroke for the third note. I usually strike up with my middle fingernail. I didn't spend a lot of time researching it but it looks like the bassist might be doing something similar with up/down strokes with their finger on some of the lines.

As with any technical part, start really slow and get it perfect. Playing it fast and sloppy is never going to sound right. Whatever technique you decide to use, study every aspect, every note, every rest, and really get it 100% dialed in at a very slow tempo, then work your way up to the actual song tempo.

Do first what goes the fastest natural without thinking. Usually that's the fastest way even after practicing other options. But I would practice all options anyway. What goes smoothest and fastest really is personal. I can play this with three fingers pretty easy up to speed but with two fingers it is harder for me, especially doing 1-2-1, 2-1-2 because you start each pattern on a different finger. With two fingers 1-1-2, 1-1-2 works better for me because every pattern is the same.

A great band and this is my favourite song of theirs! I don't have any useful advice, I just wanted to say that.

I've tried it, but I've put it to one side to learn when I'm a better player than I am currently (much better!). I have been having fun with Secretly and their acoustic version of Paul Weller's You Do Something To Me. They're more a pace I can handle.
