two 210s or 210 and a 115

Cool, this thread clears up a lot of questions and misconceptions that I have about pairing cabs.

Currently I run a Genz Benz 9.0 into an Avatar TB153 and love the sound. The fretted low B string notes give me chills sometimes, especially under the twangy telecasters that dominate my band. I had contemplated getting a 112 or 210 to round off the sound but it sounds like if I'm better suited to get more of the same. I'd hoped to not have to lug around another 115 though : )

With the juice in your 9, that cab gets as loud as a 410 anyway. I'll wager you're not even running it close to capacity.......juss turn up

Did you get an 8 or 4 ohm? I have the same amp, and undecided between the TB153 or (2) 210's in another brand (Epifani UL210).

I went with the 8 ohm as I had planned on adding another cab down the road but chose instead to get a EBMM Stingray 5.

Yeah, turning up is always good advice I've yet to play out with this band or particular bass combo. It's plenty loud but I'm still curious as to what another cab will do, the cleaner the sound the better for me.

hey all...been a while, but I don't spend to much time on the computer (unless i'm looking to buy something)...anyway...I have a markbass lmii and currently have it paired with an avatar 8 ohm 210...love the sound, but I'm looking to get the full power of my amp...i see that avatar now makes a 115...so i'm lloking for opinions...should i match the cab or add a big old 15 to the mix...i play both 4 and 5 strings pretty evenly, so the low b does come into play...thoughts?
