Bass 1:
Stambaugh 5 string [SOLD] bass with set neck construction. I recently picked this up on trade. While it is an excellent instrument, well-balanced, very playable and gets good tones, I decided to reduce my inventory. It features a figured Walnut top on Black Korina (limba) body, Macassar Ebony board, 7-piece neck made from Wenge, Maple and Bubinga. Bartolini J pickups and Audere 4 band preamp with active/passive switch, and coil tap to select series or parallel. 34 inch scale with 18mm string spacing and 47mm nut width. Neck is very comfortable, not chunky, but not too thin front to back either. It has been played out by past owners, so def has a broken in feel. Back of neck is smooth with no dings. Truss adjusts fine. Truss rod cover is missing, i got it that way. Frets are in excellent condition, some minor fret sprouting in the upper register, easy luthier fix. The other thread indicated weight about 9 lbs, but I think it is closer to 10. Has recessed Dunlop straplocks. SOLD.
Bass 2:
Custom Marco USA MV model 5 string with 34.5 inch scale, one-piece bolt on maple neck and maple fretboard, gloss red wine burst finish on body with select US hardwoods (not sure what) and Spanish Cedar top. About 9 lbs. on my analog bath scale. 48mm nut width, and 18mm string spacing at the bridge. Schaller lite tuners, and Marco high mass bridge. Another aesthetically beautiful and very well-balanced instrument from Marco, with outstanding playability and comfort, and fabulous tone from Marco's custom hand-wound pickups. This is a passive bass with a vol-vol-tone configuration. neck is carved by hand and has a satin finish. Frets are immaculate and smooth on the edges. Finish is 9.5/10, just some light swirls, no dings or belt rash, etc. There is no serial number on this bass as it is a one-off custom built for a client in Northern California, who apparently played and recorded for some iconic artists from the 60's and 70's. I am the second owner. Bass will ship in a nice Lakland gig bag. SOLD.
