Two new bass build ideas.

I want two new basses. Neither is made, nor is ever likely to be. I have neither the tools, ability or skills to do them. But I still want them. Bet nobody ever said that before.

1st: 28 1/2" subscale version of a Guild S-200 Thunderbird.

2nd: Double neck Thinline U-Bass top neck with a baritone ukulele neck on the bottom. About the same body depth as a Fender Thinline. Ubass scale 22", baritone scale 19".

I know there's little to no chance of either of these becoming reality, but one can always dream.

Depending depending on if you're willing to compromise, or how much you're willing. Dearmond made a 30" scale 6 string bass/baritone version of the Jet Star. Not real common and expensive when they come up but they are out there.

Yeah, you see them once in a while. There was a yellow one on eBay for a year or more. The guy wanted something like $1,200 (I think or maybe more) for it and wouldn't come down to reality levels.
