Hi,
I wanted to know if someone have tried this configuration : 2 Humbuckers, each with coils in series, AND wiring again both pickups. Really simple, but not usual.
Since "serie bass pickups" can lead to a lot of stuff with google, i didn't found the answer anywhere. Of course, it means specific wiring, it need the use of shunt volume, or dual shunt for blend. Active preamp can be used after the serie summing if wanted, as buffer/eq but not as mix.
Theorically, it reduce the resonnance frequency, and it should make resonance spike a bit higher. I feel it should be interesting, and i would be really interested if someone had some sample of differences of humbuckers with "global wiring" in serie VS in parrallel.
Thanks !
