One of my devices is at its 30 day sync point. But, the two step verification is not working. Restarted device, an iPad, multiple times, retried. Keep getting Error message:

The following error occurred:
The two-step verification value could not be confirmed. Please try again.

Just to make sure - the iPad is the device on which you have the authenticator app? Did you do anything different, like generate a new key, or did you just copy the code from the auth app when asked?

Thanks, Paul

I actually have the authenticator app on my phone. I normally use the iPad for TB participation. I have not had any issues for the past year or so reading the verification code from the phone and entering it into the pad or my laptop computer, when needed.

That's odd. Well, what you could try is while you're logged in now, disable two-factor authentication. Delete the TalkBass key from your authenticator app, then start fresh generating a new key on your phone.

Why this is happening I'm not sure, unless you accidentally created a new code key in your authenticator app and you're trying to use an old key. You're using Google Authenticator?

Yup. Google authenticator.

It shows Talkbass.com: bucephylus for my key

Paul,
So, I just followed your advice, disabling the two step authentication in Talkbass and removing the key from my app. Then, I scanned the barcode after re-enabling two step verification; but, the subsequent re-enabling step won't accept the key that the app subsequently produces. Same error. I am doing this on my laptop. So, the problem does not appear to be device dependent.

Is your timezone set correctly? Looks like you're currently set to Eastern time.

That's the only thing I can find that might be an issue. Otherwise the forum software pretty much depends on Google to provide the keys and codes...

One option would be to try Authy instead of Google Authenticator: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
