Hello. I scoured the web for any recent discussions but didn't find any.
I love my UAD SVT Classic and am thinking of pairing it with a QSC KW152 for a mid size venue.
Open backyard... 150 people.
Can someone chime in if they've tried this out or think this can work out? It's got a 15" woofer so I figured it could do the job well.

It's a very unconventional route, not sure anyone can answer Yes or No to the question "this can work out?", it depends on too many parameters (including "how loud is the rest of the band going to be?")
UAD SVT Classic is a computer plugin, right?
How do you want to use that plugin in a live situation?
Why do you want to use a PA cab instead of bass amp?
Do you plan to plug your bass in you audio interface, use the plugin on your computer, and out from the audio interface into a PA cab? I ask because using a computer on stage is always risky.
It would be much easier to use any modeler or pedal that has a "SVT Classic" model, and plug it in a bass amp+cab
If the main goal is to reuse a plugin you already have for studio application, I think it's more trouble than anything.
If the goal is to use the same settings for studio and live application, some brands offer software solutions that work both in computer based studio environement as well as hardware devices designed for live application. To name a few:
- Line 6 Helix has hardware pedal (including the HX Stomp) and a computer version "Helix Native" that can share the same amp models and presets, so you can use the same settings in the studio and on stage.
- Two Notes also has a great software/hardware platform
- ToneX as well
- NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) offers a free open source amp modeling plugin, and there's a player pedal available
