UK Prices of Squier...

I live in England, and I'm a big Fender/Squier fan. I've always wanted a Matt Freeman P bass, only when my dad went to order me one for Christmas, they were out of white ones and , at the time, I wasn't into the black ones (kicking myself now.) That's how I ended up with my Mike Dirnt P bass. Anyway, since then I've liked to check on the Matt Freeman P on GAK every now and then. It was always priced at £375-or-so. Only recently, the price has gone up to £393. And for a long while before that, it was over £400! This really annoys me, and anyway, in America, the bass costs $379.99, which equates to £244.03, but we have to pay over £100 more than that! Anyone else with me on this?

It is odd that the UK prices are so high. I'm sure shipping from Indonesia to the UK or USA is about the same.

£354.52 is cheaper than £393, but it's still a lot more than £244.03...

Still doesn't explain the difference. I asked the same question on BassChat where no-one would admit it was simple " price fixing "
If you check Sam Ash,Musician's Friend or GC then try and buy a Squier to ship UK they can't sell it. The t&c's state they are unable
to sell certain items overseas. Not just Fender/Squier. I suppose some of it comes from " price points " but my money is on some
kind of deal made.
