Unbelievable tragedy...

Last night, a man and his two stepdaughters were murdered in our town of 10,000 residents. Both of the girls went to the school where my wife works (kindergarten and first grade), so it's really hit close to home. We drove in the Christmas parade yesterday evening, and saw the entire family waving at us. It's just so unbelievable.

In our little town, murders aren't exactly common. This year has been the exception. In January, two of our good friends were murdered, and my wife was the last person to see and talk to them. THat's still hard to deal with some days.

Apparently he was killed in such a way that the police don't believe it could have been suicide.

My hometown has a similar small population, I remember one year back in the mid-90's, where there were a number of murders (that were unrelated), so I feel what you're saying, it really rocks the place

Dunblane? I remember driving through it on the way to Skye many years later. Spooky as hell.

When I lived in Ann Arbor (back in the 80's), we had a high school friend who had just gotten her cabbie's license. We were all happy for her. It's Ann Arbor, what could happen?

She picked up a fair who was an ex-con who terrorized her as she was forced to drive this creep to his ex. Cops shot him but not before he murdered our friend.

He still comes up for parole...gets denied. Still, Ann Arbor was such a peaceful place.
