Uncontrollable Boom!, a bad gig.

Well the 60 Hz will cause boom, however, this room could have a resonant frequency and when you touch it, it will woof. In my Church, it’s at 250hz. It’s so bad we had to use some sound canceling techniques to combat it, as well as eliminating all amplifiers.
Actually, my wife has much better attention to detail for making such things look good, so I might ask her to have a go. That would use up the left over carpet earmarked for a, cat scratching post, but I am sure I can find some grey rat fur which would be a better match for bass cabs.
A parametric EQ is better for boom. Set it for medium to narrow bandwidth, maximum cut, sweep the frequency until the boom disappears. Then widen the bandwidth and lessen the cut as much as possible before the boom returns for minimum impact on the surrounding frequencies.
