2x15 tops have a problem - they are trying to be both subs and tops. Tops should be high, with dispersion being the important factor. Subs are omnidirectional, so dispersion isn't an issue, but now wave cancellations and coupling come into play, so subs need to be on the ground, stacked together and hopefully put near a wall for additional coupling.

just from that description i can see the splintered and black spray-painted plywood edges of the cabs, which are stacked 10 feet high on each side of the stage, have chicken wire for grills, and are covered with random band bumper stickers, smelling like decades of beer, smoke and various bodily fluids

who wants to move that?

(same with those old EAW 253s, great full-range boxes but heavy as crap, with not a lot of "throw". awesome as a drum box, but a nice small sub with a nice normal-sized top box on it will smoke it and is easier to move.)
