I only experience the 8.8K china P pickup accidentally. It is Aliexpress Donlis Vintage P pickup and they list 10.5K. But she read 8.8K after i measure it.
On P bass with Volume 250K/Tone 205K pot, She sound in between series and parallel wiring Split P pickups, and notable fretting noise compare to 10.5K+ P pup. Sound are clear, crisp tonal from E to G, only lacking some Ommph that P pup has.
After I put this 8.8K pup on my client Affy PJ bass along with Fleor 9.0K single coil J bridge pup (Using V/V/T@ 250k pot ). She sound more full body and less fretting clicking noise, well output match with the 9.0K bridge pup.
Few day ago, i asking the aliexpress seller wind me a 9.6-9.8K P pup for my new indo Squier Cv70P which has lifeless tone 11.6K Alnico V stock pickups.
