Scotty, I guess I'm missing something. What's a "series parallel master for both pups"? (That sounds to me like a switch to combine the two pups as blocks, series or parallel with each other, to a single output.)

That sappy walnut is kickass, and the cavity cover came out really nice.

Your right it's simply a switch that when its off, the pickups both come on parallel with the balance centered (like normal) but when the switch is on both pickups are wired together in series and the balance pot is disabled

Alone it adds a little more tone variation, but added with the individual series/parallel/single switches per pup, it opens up a boat load more options.

Thanks for all of the nice compliments guys.

Here are some quick sound clips I recorded to give an idea of what the pickups sound like. These pickups are great, the bass sounds spectacular with them and I wish I had more time to record some better clips to do it justice. Maybe Vic will later:p

The clip is recorded with the bass straight into the interface, the balance centered, the EQ set flat and no effects. At the riff part it starts with the pickups switched to parallel, then switches to single coils and then series at the pauses.

I agree on the pickups, they're really different to what we're used to seeing, I'm still not sure if I like the looks of the oval covers but they sound really wonderful, I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

It's the same finish front and back. I polished the front a bit more to help highlight the figure in the top which is also a little less porous so it has a smoother appearance then the rest of the wood. This is an open pore finish.
