Unknown Aria Bass Guitar

I need help identifying a bass that is at my high school. It is an Aria, but I have not be able to identifying the year it is from, or the model name.
It is a hollow-body with a 34-inch scale. On the inside of the bass, there is a sticker that says "Serial Number: 73491" and "Model Number: 783." It also says on the sticker that it is made in Japan. The style is like the ES-335, but the model number doesn't match up with the Aria copy. I have checked on [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], but I haven't been able to find it. There is another number on the plate where the neck meets the body, but I can't remember it at the moment.
If anybody can help with identifying this bass, please give me some help.

Yes, but the pickups are an older with screws and rectangle magnets, and the tuners are plastic. It has 4 knobs, tone and volume for each pickup, a pickup selector switch, the bridge has the option for a mute, and the saddle looks more like a saddle on a Gretsch, where it comes up from the bottom of the guitar.
EDIT: The number on the plate on the back is 0124554.

Be patient, it took me months to get the model of my Aria bass. And even then I only got it because someone else had the exact same model. So if people give you research directions, its cause they are trying to be as helpful as they can.

You need to understand that back when these basses were made they were inconsistent with serial numbers and they would make the same bass and label it under more than one name (Aria and Univox shared models with only minor differences, for example). And then there was a big fire and most of the records were destroyed. So there's that.

So patience, grasshopper. You may get an answer, if you are lucky. But if not, it's not for lack of wanting to give you an answer.

Interesting--I know this is an old post, but just in case anyone comes across it as I have, I just acquired an Aria bass that appears to be from the same line. Sticker inside says Model Number 783, Serial Number 73493. And the back plate says 0124635.
