I’ve been looking for a new bass off and on for a bit. While on vacation in Wilmington, NC I stopped by Music Loft thinking that I would try a couple basses that I’ve not been able to play before because my local shops didn’t carry those brands. I had zero intention of buying one while on vacation. (My other half knew me better.)
This was the first time I was able to play a multi-scale bass, let alone a Mayones or Dingwall. I’ve been having joint problems for some time now and thought I’d see if it made a difference. Chase(?) suggested I try the Ibanez EHB1005MS. I thought no way am I going to get some 80’s style headless bass. I was wrong. After continuing to try a slew of other basses I kept going back to it. It was close between it and a Combustion but the Ibanez felt the best when I was having a bad joint day. Without further adieu…
