Good one! Ambrosia has an incredible body of work. Some really complex, progressive stuff with some masterfully composed ballads… I can’t say enough about how amazing they are. Fantastically produced for audiophiles. Joe Puerta is right upfront in the mixes. Super solid. David Pack’s vocals rival Steve Walsh. Awesome!

Even though she has already been mentioned, I think Michael Steele of the Bangles was a really good bassist and singer. She sang lead vocals on the tracks September Gurls and Following from their album Different Light.

Session legend Nathan East turns out to be a really good singer also:

I guess you're not familiar with 'Four Play' since it's Jazz/R & B? Grammy winners. Nathan is hardly 'unknown' for his singing. Bob James' band. Of course Nathan IS well known for his session work as a bassist for many many many artists.
