The one with the bear claw scratch and chunk bitten out is killer! I'd buy that right now (and I don't even play guitar lol...yet).

The Rickenbacker shape is my fave! I always wished the SpectorCore had a more "modern" f hole, like that!

I've actually been thinking about trying a Mandolin out. Know nothing about them, but I think I could understand them and enjoy them much better than a Ukulele
Another EastwoodAnyone got an example of an instrument with a non-traditional f-hole (sound hole)? I'd like to see what has been used instead of the traditional f-hole. Got a pic? Post it up!

I've got a franken Tele shaped guitar which is over 11lbs. It's so heavy that playing it on the knee the body drops lifting the neck (the opposite of the dreaded neck dive). I'm planning on routing out from the back and putting an f-hole in it....... but it just won't look right with an f. This thread has given me plenty of ideas.

Go for it! They are a lot of fun. As a bass player, it was pretty intuitive for me, four courses tuned in fifths, GDAE low to high. It's another weapon in my arsenal.Aw, man...don't feed my G.A.S. even more...

Friend of mine has a custom-built hollow body telecaster-shaped guitar with huge S-shaped holes rather than f-shaped. He says because he was so fussy during the build process the luthier said he was an S-hole.
