upgrade

i want to upgrade from my first bass and i dont want to spend too much. i have narrowed it down to either a standard jazz bass or the hoppus bass. i can get both at the same price at this place. i wanna know which is the beter bass. i know its a hoppus model but i like how i can get the string trough body and upgraded pickups already. but i do like the jazz bass and the smaller neck...but its just a standard.

any suggestions?

Isnt the Hoppus bass only ajaz bass in the style of body shape? Everything besides that is Precision? Like precision neck, precision pickups? Find a nice MiM jazz and go from there, play everyone in the store though the vary widely

Yeah and I think the Hoppus comes in some like really light colors like light blue and light green.
