Upgrading a Jazz Bass (suggestions are wanted)

If you don't have enough respect for your instrument to keep it clean, why on God's Earth are you asking about what to upgrade? I have some basses that need new strings, never did the strings look like what to OP posted. You want an upgrade, try soap.
Dude, you misunderstood. That's OK, but try to stop misunderstanding now. OP posted pics of the bass as he received it. Made specific mention of the fact that strings were going to be changed by him. He wanted additional suggestions. You didn't provide any.
