Upgrading my Corvette Rockbass with Passive Bartolini's

Yo fellas I need so help from the pros that may have upgraded their Warwick RB with different pickups. I play gospel and r&b i have a high end Ibanez btb 676 with the Bartolini MK2's they are super sweet. I got this little warwick RB from a friend of mine that just had to have a 6string bass lol well im gonna let yall in on how much i paid for this lil beast $150 he only had it for 2months it doesnt have a scratch on it. He got it brand new for a 3payment web site AMS. This bass i intended only using this as a backup bass but i love it. Its light, the neck is smooth, the only thing i want is more power and the pickups aint bad but i love the Bartolini's and the guys at the music store said it would be the way to go. Well its a passive bass with MEC pickups. I found some 59JL1 pair of Bartolini's for under 200 dollars. Would it be a pain in the ass to switch it from the MEC passive pickups and No battery for the electronics, to installing Bartolini's pickups and Bartolini Electronics with a battery???? I also ordered the Gold bridge,5 gold machine heads, four gold control knobs and two gold strap holders so as you can see Im playing on giving this lil baby a make over. Plz reply and tell me what you think. It will be about a month before i order the pickups thanks for your replies in advance!

Hey, if your upgrading all that other hardware, then you might as well go for the Barts. I miss the active pre amp and barts I had on my Tobias Growler. Now I have a Thumb bass with the active pre and MEC's, and I'm thinking of switching to active Barts. I say go for it. You'll have yourself quite a unique Rock Bass!

Under $200 for a pair of Bart jazz pickups?? They are like $140 at BestBassGear. Did you price include a Bart preamp or something?

And personally, I'd just keep the MEC pickups and add a preamp. Go for an Aguilar though.
