Upgrading pick-ups on my marcus

Just brought a fender marcus miller and i am in love... but i have heard stories that the pickups can be noisey... just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if i should upgrade the pick ups.. i have upgraded the pickups on my p bass and got good results just wondering what peoples thoughts are i think the stock pickups that come on the marcus are fantastic.. your thoughts?

Every passive single coil pickup has noise, which is removed by playing both pickups. I have '77 jazz bass which has noise on single pickup but sound of this pickup is what I want, so changing the whole pickup and tone only in order to remove noise is not clever choice. In other side there is a very good humcanceling pickup replacement for your bass which sounds very closely to single coil sound - Nordstrand NJ4SV pickups. Check it out and good luck...:bassist:

man a true single coil will have some noise but thats the way a single sounds i like the marcus pickups sound but i prefeer aero singles or fralin 5% extra wiring both are killer pickups but noisy...maeby a good shielding work could reduce the enoying sound
