I'm looking at putting new tuning machines on my Shen SB200. Is there any advice on upgrading on a Shen? Has anyone used these before? Any reviews on these? Thanks for the help!

Double Bass Upgrading Tuning Machines

You will need to have the pegbox cheeks routed to fit the hatpeg shafts, which are significantly wider than the metal shafts on the stock Shen machines. I've put all-metal Rubners onto a Shen and it's a definite upgrade, though not necessarily a DIY job.
When I have the cash, my Shen will be getting a set of Sloanes, which can be had for not too much more than those Rubners if you have a good source.

I also use a BassBuggy. When I was rolling it around today, I noticed I like to lean the bass back on my shoulder some. Will I have a problem with the tuners and rolling my bass like this?
