2008 Upton Professor, deluxe top upgrade, all solid wood flatback in beautiful condition. 41.5" mensure, D neck, extended solo fingerboard, Upton Deluxe bag in very nice shape. It was set up last year by Bay Area legend Pat McCarthy, who dialed it in with a fingerboard dressing, nut and bridge work, and resetting the soundpost - sounds great and plays like butter. Currently strung with Garbos, it's previously worn Flexocors and Evah Weichs with great results. It's
got a big, articulate sound, very even in all positions, and an absolute joy to play.
Like most TBers, I've got nothing but praise for the Upton folks and their products. I've enjoyed owning this bass immensely, but times and circumstances change, and it needs to go to a good home. SUMMER VACATION/BREXIT MARKET CRASH --PRICE REDUCED TO $4950; current replacement value is $8000+.
The bass lives in the Sonoma wine country about an hour north of San Francisco. I've got access to a great "white glove" delivery service that can deliver it safely to your door if needed.
