Use zoom b3 or not

Actually for my next live I'm olannpla use my
Ibanez sr 1300 (neck pickup,passive mode )
Fender rumble 100


Here I'm thonl should I add my mxr 10 band eq and my zoom b3 or not .
Does zoom b3 effect my sound and make it sound bad ?
I don't wanna use any special effect but kind of I can use di in zoom but I scare that makes my sound becomes electric and sound more like vst .
My amp has a good sound ,my bass sound very good and I didn't use my eq for long time so I'm not sure about that too .

What is your recommendation?
The gig is jazz gig .

The DI in the Zoom is fine. I like the Detune patch on the Zoom for chorus and a touch of that on a jazz date would be fine for me.

Leave the effects home on the jazz gig. All those will do is dilute your sound.

In jazz, you are the pulse. You are there to thump. Chorus/reverb/flanging/delay will make you less thumpy and make your sound disappear in the context of the band. As far as the EQ, it's cheap, unnecessary and just adding noise to your signal chain. You can steer your sound just fine with the knobs on your guitar and amp.

"sound more like vst" - That's the Zoom for you. You have to spend real money on pedals for ones that don't sound plastic-y and two-dimensional.

It has to be good news that you've got less gear to carry, hook up and worry about at a gig, right?

I have used the zoom B3 for years. I go direct with no amp.

I have used the B3 alot and find you need to find a sound with not too much colour to work. A good sounding unit.

Neither do any of my basses, maybe I shouldn't bother playing them either?

Take it and try it. If it doesn't sound good, you can always take it out of the loop or bypass it.

I have an old DigiTech BP 80 I always have. I only use two patches occasionally, but, if I want them, they're there. There isn't enough signal degradation with it in the chain on bypass for my ears to hear in a live setting.
