Using a Ditto Looper for the first time!

A valiant effort, Doc.

Although I'm not a looping expert, I can tell you that if you're using a looper to play music that has a "one", then it's all about the one. Secondly, again for music in which it matters, it's about the completeness and finiteness of each phrase.

Taken together, then, for most players successful use of a looper entails

• playing each phrase once straight through, but no longer (unless you want to double-track in real time)

• starting and ending each phrase on the one.

Thanks, pretty quickly, I figured out that I need to keep a riff as clean as possible, and I need to play the riff once only. I definitely have to come in on the one.
