Using a guitar amp?

Newb with regards to musicial amps...

I was thinking about doing this build Low-cost DIY practice/coffeehouse tweeterless 110 [long] | TalkBass.com

A guitar playing friend offered me gratis a Crate CPB150 PowerBlock Guitar amp head.(Low-cost DIY practice/coffeehouse tweeterless 110 [long] | TalkBass.com

Will it work for bass and be suitable with the Basslite S2010? The amp can be set for monoblock 8 ohms. I noticed this:
Low: 20dB range @ 110Hz
Mid: 15dB range @ 1kHz
High: 20dB range @ 10kHz

With low E at 41hz, I was wondering if the amp would clip(?) or something making it unsuitable?

The Power Block will work with bass but it doesn't work well with bass. Its preamp rolls off too much low end for it to be usable with bass. However, you can stick another preamp into the effect return, bypass the Power Block's preamp, and then it becomes a fairly decent little power amp. But it always has a little noticeable harmonic distortion, and to me, bypassing the preamp is jumping through hoops that I don't want to jump through. It is absolutely wonderful on guitar, though. Never thought it would, but it turned out to be quite the surprise when it comes to guitar, and I'm a tube snob, so I would totally thank your friend and accept it with a smile ;)

I did some other searches on "CPB150" and there is a lot of good information. I'm going to give it a shot on the coffeehouse build. It's a cheap experiment and if I don't like it, I will give it to my daughter who plays a Strat...

I know nothing about mods. I got a Micro VR for Christmas shortly after I got the Power Block and just decided to use it for guitar only ;)

However, the coffeehouse cab build got a little more expensive over the years, but Duke, the guy who thought it up, is an extremely talented cab designer and I'm sure it will rock if he says it will.
