Using bass + pedals + guitar & bass amps

Hi I would like to use this pedal chain:

In one hand: Bass - EHX Micro POG - Carbon Copy - Bass Amp
In other hand Bass - EHX Micro POG - FullTone OCD - Korg Pitchblack (True Bypass) - Guitar amp

My questions? Is this harmful for the guitar amp?
Using the True Bypass would let my to cut the signal and use only the bass amp?

Don't play bass through guitar speakers; mix and match any other way, to taste.

Yeah, I always thought that playing bass on a guitar amp would be bad for the speakers, but this guy seems to say something different.

Somebody has tried this setting or something similar?

When you say "bypass," do you mean the tuner's muting the signal chain? Because obviously, you won't do anything to the guitar amp when the tuner is muted - including make sound. The issue is how the amp will handle the signal it DOES get.

I'm assuming what you mean (and if not, what you should mean), is that you're using the two outputs on the MicroPOG and setting it to octave-up only. Use the dry output for an unaffected signal to the bass amp and the effect output to send an octave-up signal to the guitar amp. Yes, that works, and yes, the guitar amp can handle it just fine; you just don't want to make a guitar speaker handle large-amplitude BASS frequencies. Mute the guitar-amp line and you'll have the bass signal playing normally.

It's pretty much the setup I had, thought with more pedals in it:

(slightly older picture - my microPOG eventually died and now I'm using an ABY and a third EHX Pitchfork to do the same thing). The large board to the right is (mostly) pedals on the bass-amp signal chain and hte smaller board to the left is for the guitar-amp chain. The two little switches at bottom left are "stutter switches" for momentary muting.

The bass player from Clatter uses a Mesa Boogie Guitar Amp. It's a 100 watt triple channel one I think. Huge sound. Not sure how she sets it up.

Maybe what I would do is add a crossover to remove some low end, or a HPF to take care of the low end frequencies before the guitar amp.

You can play a guitar head with a bass cab as long as the impedance matches up. I've done it, tons of musicians do it, it's totally fine. You can also play your bass through a full guitar set up. Obviously they are not optimized to do such a thing but it depends on what you're trying to achieve.

This is what I use. Neck pickup to bass amp/cab, bridge pickup to guitar head/bass cab (the Vox head on the left).

OP, you can do that just fine. As long as you use the POG to octave up and feed the low frequencies to the bass amp. Just make sure that you don't feed the guitar speakers more than they can take. Just play only the guitar speakers in a silent room and increase the volume until the cab starts farting. back off a little until eveything is fine. This is your max. Remember the EQ (especially bass), gain and master settings.

Guitar amps for suck for bass, and one or 2 mistakes and you can damage a guitar amp. When I first started playing bass I used an old Peavey PA head thru a Peavey 15 Blackwidow bass speaker in an home made cab. It worked okay for a while.
