Ustream

Has anyone used ustream to broadcast a performance? Any feeback on it?

We've done it a couple of times. I think we had 5 people listen at any given time. For my band, I think the people who are interested are at the gig.

We have some facebook fans who live out of the area, so I was thinking about doing it for them, as they will probably never have a chance to experience our awesomeness live! The venue we will play at has 3 cameras that record for a DVD that we can buy later. I was hoping maybe to tap into that or bring our own camera for the ustream

I think we've dome it both ways. The crowd noise was pretty extreme on the ones with the mic in the back of the room. The sound was sort of unbalanced coming right off the board. (Bass heavy, so I didn't mind.)

I think if you have an extra monitor channel you don't need, you can get a good mix from that.
