Popping is not hard on this bass at all. I was orignally thinking of making a ramp out of the left over pickguard material to prevent from 'digging in'. Doesn't need it.

The B-string is suprisingly clear (for a 34" scale) up and down the neck ... even more so than my Modulus which has a 35" scale.

A. J. Did I tell you that you did good!! Theres a 4 string NYC on Austin Bass Traders, site right now, birds eye maple,lake pacid, with a matching headstock, and I have considered going into debt for it. My next bass will deffinently be Maple, variety is the spice of life!

BRILLIANT!

I think Nino could get bodies painted anywhere (but don't quote me). We tried to track down the color code for Sadowsky Corsica Blue, but it was nowhere to be had. The next best thing was to go with LPB.

I'm intrigued by the Guiness burst though.

I prefer to use Warmoth's finishing becasue is all done under one roof. I had a cuatomer ask for the same color as Sadowsky's Sherwood green and I had Pat Wilkins finish the body for me but Pat is a little more expensive then Warmoth.

AJ, that's a really sweet looking bass. I enjoyed reading the review. Congrats! :)

(I DO have a couple of QSC amps, MM basses, and an SWR IOD that I can sell.......Hmmm :eyebrow: ...... .Nah, my wife would kill me :help: .)

I hate you guys.....
I'm coming into a few bucks when my Fodera sells (IF should be the word) and was thinking of a Sad UV Metro in trans blue/rosewood.
But now...............You guys are killing me, sweet looking ax there AJ!

I don't know if Nino could answer this (rules and such), but if maybe someone else could....
How do the Valenti neck profiles compare to Sadowsky??? 5 string that is.
I'm a sucker for the Sadowsky neck, stinking love it. It's perfect for me, hence the reason for another Sadowsky in the cross hairs.
But I'm also down for helping the little guys as well.
Anyone?????

My FAV Sadowsky of all time finish wise. Who ever got it was a LUCKY soul.
That top, that finish, matching headstock, 5 string............I need a towel!!
But AJ, please please please post sound clips.

Mike, There you go again, Stealing my bass!!! Do you think Motowns big enough for the two of us with matching Sadowsky Fives!! You know that was my idea, just look at your sadowski decision post, Mike when will you ever listen? I have great taste!!!!! Can't play worth @#$*&, but great taste.....

Wow! Can't breathe, ... must ... breathe ..... I just messied myself! That Flame and depth of color paired with the dark Rosewood FB is simply Off The Hook! Yikes! Pretty close to my all time fave Sadowsky. Maybe even my number 1!
