That was the year I was born, so it would be worth something to me.

I would speculate somewhere in the $2-3K range, perhaps more. Others here will know better than I.

I have a 68 P bass .. it's my #1 bass.

The 68s are a transition year, last year of the nitrocellulous laquer finish ... first year of the black logo. Mine also has the trans taper neck not quite as thin as a Jazz but smaller than a 70s model, oh and chrome tuners instead of nickle.

I've had mine for many years ... it came from a little music store in Tupelo Mississippi, I paid $500.00 for it ...

It's all original ... but has major MOJO (well used)

I would say a low value of maybe 3g.



... Ain't nobody gonna get that bass away from me!

I had a very good condition '68 and got $3,200 out of it.

Maybe I'm out of my element, but my '71 Jazz really looks like it has nitro on it. Is it possible that this body and neck was from '68?

Hard to say on your 71 J ...



... I personally have never seen nitro past 68 on any Fender instrument.
