value of used amps?

I posted something similar before but thought I'd give it another try in hopes to get more response.

My neighour is selling a Yorkville 60B amp (1x10) that hasn't been used in a few years and still has the tags on it, no problems with it. The tag says CAD310 new. It's the black carpet one, not blue (meaning it's older and heavier than the blue carpet one I believe).

How much is a reasonable offer to buy this from my neighbour?

Does this size/brand amp typically lose at least 50% value when a few years old?

I'd go with 50% of the new price.

Generally cabs will go down in value, small amps/combos and low-end gear will lose most value. The only thing that seems to retain fairly well are high end tube amps, made in US stuff. Used gear kind of retains it's value if you got it at "used" price.
