Hello,

I am looking at the Vanderkley 112EXT NeoLite cabinet. I would run two with a MB LM III in a jam band, street performance and small/medium sized venue setting. Can anyone provide opinions on this setup?

The Vanderkley cabs I tried were all well built, sturdy and nicely finished.
They sounded good. Not astonishing but good.
It's a small boutique builder, sells mostly in his own country.

I emailed Marc Vanderkley and he said that he doesn't have any dealers in the states but that he would deal with the shipping. Would you know what their price tag is in US dollars? The cabinet I want is listed (on site) at around 699 in whatever currency is used in his country.

699 Euros is $961.00. He may say that he'll "deal" with shipping but he'll most likely charge you for it.

I don't think he was referring to the price of shipping so much as being able to ship to the states.

This cab has a common design. You will find much better deals with US made gear. Aguilar, Bergantino, Epifani, something like that.

The problem with bringing stuff in from abroad is the cast. You have to pay for the shipping to your country. Then pay the import duties and the gotcha is the brokerage fees. To bring a $300 power amp to my home I had to pay $130 odd to the UPS guy. The brokerage fee alone was $62. That's UPS gouging for you!! :scowl:
