    It's so hard not to buy these. I've been wanting to try Anima's for the past 4 years, but since I know they don't bow well I'm not trying them. I love the pizz sound though!

    WHAT?

    I kept reading that they don't bow well! Are you 100% sure about that?

    Aniams are the ones that are decent with the bow (after the metal wound ones). The garbos bow like poopie. The animas I got a useable sound out of for what i need. Not in an orchestra but in a jazz setting or practing I didn't mind them.

    I played them on my bass for a month and then tried them arco on a friends bass. They sound fine imo

    They’re very bowable, just depends if you like the sound. They sound a lot like plain gut bowed which I’m not a huge fan of.

    Velvet changed the formula of Anima G, which should make it better under the bow. Nymans rosin works really well with them.
