Double Bass Venezuelan Bass?

Took it into the back yard where there is some sun as I only have my cell phone camera right now.

are you sure the neck is not loose? (pic 4+5)

It's actually the first thing I noticed when I went to look at it. The neck is actually very solid (the whole thing is solid) but someone with a bit more experience than I needs to look at it. The button separating like that does concern me a little, but only a little. Doesn't look like it has moved in decades. This bass needs a little TLC but seem in overall pretty good condition considering it was in a Miami pawn shop in 'the hood.'
