Very first set of flats?

@Impetus man it was my first time really taking a bass apart, so I spent most of my time working out how the tuner went back together because I didn't think to take note before I ripped it apart! Haha...

I don't know really. I don't think the strings had ever been changed before that, so I doubt it. It's been owned and thrown around by the school for about 10 years, they never treated it very well at all.

Near-total OT: you know, I can't help but think you might be speaking of here. Which is, I suppose, statistically improbable since it's not exactly a hamlet, the place you live. In my defence, I first spoke to my one-time girlfriend at the bus stop closest to that school, many moons ago (you were probably a baby) when I was in Brum for my year abroad at uni. Oh, and I've read and loved Rotters' Club by Jonathan Coe.

I got offered a place there, but I chose this school over it. In my last year of school now, 6 years later!

I was thinking just recently (on finding out we're expecting our first child!) about how recently I finished my a levels. In 1999.

To put it in perspective... You were born then!!

It will always seem like yesterday despite the many many things that have occurred since.
