On both my desktop monitor and my smartphone, talkbass.com displays small ad boxes showing videos. One frequently repeated video shows a slow-motion clip of a person playing a Thunderbird.
I cringe every time I see it, because the guy's technique is so ugly and sloppy. The fingers of the fretting hand are flailing around, the plucking hand is inconsistent, there seems to be no economy of movement at all. It looks like really bad technique to me.
Well, maybe it's a real celebrity playing this bass? Who knows?
