I picked up a vintange sunn 6x10s cab that is in incredible condition. It is also empty. I have done a lot of research and i am under the impression that this cab was made specifically for a guitar?

what im thinking about doing is putting some 10 inch eminence speakers in there and using it as a bass amp. the baffle is the "V" shape one.

i dont want to do any modifications to it. I just want to know if anyone has done this with this specific cab and the pros and cons about the "v" baffle.

All I can add is that, as you suspect, this is a guitar cab.

My phone camera is broken. So i will have to get a friend to take some pictures. and i can also measure the dimensions tonight.

and i did not get it on ebay. I have a friend that has a lot of gear he trades and sells all the time that i got it from. great deal on it too.

It's a guitar cab. Go check out the unofficial sunn forum for more info, should be plenty.

I had one about 100 years ago - used a sunn concert lead rig alongside an acoustic 370/301 (so I could hear what the hell I was playing)...

It's a sealed box so any fairly robust 10" would probably be an improvement over the stock driver.

Honestly it would be pretty much a crapshoot and probably not real successful for a bass cab.

had the 610L which is for guitar, in the cross-fire configuration. it was a fairly wide/deep cabinet and i think could work for bass if you removed the V cross-fire and created a new front to make it like a standard cab. otherwise not much air behind those drivers.

that being said its a fantastic guitar cab as is
