Volume loss bass

First, I am "new" to electric bass. Played one back in the 60's but I wasn't personally recording then.

Have a Fender Precision feeding a JazzMan Stereo (which does an outstanding job on both guitar and bass) but once a get a recording to transfer to Audacity on a PC I really loose the bass. Feeding a Fender 200w amp, it will knock your socks off.

So I assume that I am loosing the bass from frequency band pass of the equipment - or am I missing something and no one has this issue but me?

Recording is already in looper, a JamMan stereo. Guitar in one, bass in the other. Feeding Fender and Crate amplifiers yields good results. Dumping directly into sound card of computer. Works great for guitar. Bass is very poor. Planning to try another sound card. I will take the SD card out of the JamMan and load tracks directly to computer as well.

So you tried to connect Digitech looper to PC motherboard card. Lack of low frequencies is normal in this case.

Another thing I could do is take the balanced line out from the bass amp.

Get a proper audio interface rather than going direct to soundcard on the motherboard. There are a number of simple and cheap ones that will do the job just fine.

Any solution which has "onboard" sound card in it doesn't work well enough. I highly recommend to buy any simple interface with Hi-Z input. It is not make you records professional but it is enough for demo and pre-production process, youtube videos, etc. IMO any contemporary musician have to have one, it's incredibly cheap now.
