Vox amPlug

I have one, make sure you get the Bass version. I plug my apple mac into it and play along to stuff I have in itunes. Though you could plug any cd/mp3 player into it's aux hole. I think the optional effect on it is a compressor. It sounds great into a Sennheiser eh250. It has 3 dials, gain, tone and volume. For the price you can't go wrong.

I bought one of these (the bass version) for $49 a couple of weeks ago at a local music store. This gizmo is just perfect for plugging into your bass, and plugging in a set of headphones and an ipod. I can play along with my setlist and nobody else hears a thing! It runs on two AAA batteries. You can control the volume of your bass and the music coming from the ipod.

I am impressed. It really does work as intended. I therefore recommend this product.

Something like this is nice to have if you ever buy a used bass. You can meet in a parking lot and still test out the electronics of the bass to make sure everything works.

I've heard good things about the guitar version (for guitar). I might put one of these on my wish list. ;)
