hi guys
i am the very proud owner of a wal mach1 and i have another (but very important) studio session coming up. what settings do u guys use? (pref with links to audio) icould use gk, eden ampeg or marshall amps on the recording, oh and its a rock recording.
i value your input guys!!

Hi guys and gals, I value your opinion at Talk Bass so I am putting this comparison out. I have 2 MIM Deluxe Active Jazz's.
I have been reading a lot of positives on the new Highway One. I was thinking of making the 30 mile trip to GC and trying one out because I've never played one.
Any one play both the Deluxe and the Highway One?
How do they compare? My Deluxes also have a Bad Ass 2 bridges.

my WAL isn't really my main bass anymore but i've found the best way to get my tone from it is to have the bridge pickup adjusted to full open then the tone on the neck pickup wound off so that its real bassy - then i blend between teh pickups to get the sound the song needs? i like the pick attack on also.

oh yeah - i pop my filters up also....

i've never used the onboard DI before. can anyone rate how it performs?

the only problem i've ever found with my WAL is that occasionally some brands of string do not fit through the bridge properly... particularily on the E string.

anyone who plays it - or engineers are always impressed by the even tone across the neck.

lovely bass - i should play it more...

cheers guys, oh i find the di to be superb. when recording i tend to di from the bass (internal) di from the bass (external) mic the amp and take a post di from the amp also
gives 4x eq options and blend to taste!
