You can't leave it open-ended like that. If you want to leave the band, you have to do it on your own terms - not on their terms. :rolleyes:

Committing to remain "until they find a replacement' allows them to drag their feet indefinitely - should they be inclined to do so. Give them a finite period of time upfront: either play through the next scheduled gig, or for a certain number of weeks. Period.

What they do beyond that point is their business - not your concern... :eyebrow:

agreed.....i don't know that i'd be willing to give them more than a month.....a fair compromise would be to offer up as a sub for a flat fee,around 30% more than your normal cut...that will give them incentive to find a replacement at the normal rate,and a band member has to kick in his share of expenses....subs do not
