WARICK DOUBLE BUCK 4 STRING BASS

Tell me about the warick double buck 4string bass. I'm an old guy getting back into music. I really don't need all that electronics. It sounds good, almost like my old 72 P-bass. I play out of the PA..Will I need a DI or can I go directly into the mixer because of it's active preamp?

You'll still need a DI to bring it to line level.

I should be more specific. Active preamps only mean that you are given the ability to boost with the EQ as opposed to just cutting frequencies. It, essentially, gives you more tonal control with the ability to boost and cut.

It does not replace a DI.

I plan to use my MB150 GK amp as a DI into my Yamaha mixer....which EQ'S to I use as the main...1. the amp 2. the mixer or 3. the bass. Thank You Funkmetal...

Is that a question about which EQs are going to be your main EQs? I guess that depends on the sound. They all likely have different shelf frequencies for bass/mid/treble, so you can potentially have up to 9 bands of control. You decide what you like.

iirc GC now have them.
